Taking care of vetting
ENSURING CANDIDATE SUITABILITY
Social Media Check is trusted by a growing number of organisations.
Providers operating in social care are required to only employ ‘fit and proper’ staff who are able to provide care and treatment appropriate to their role and to enable them to provide the regulated activity.
To meet this regulation, providers must operate robust recruitment procedures, including undertaking any relevant checks. Workers must be considered suitable in terms of their character. This can include criminal record checks and issues relating to their behaviour outside of work.
SMC works with organisations and partners to ensure that those requirements can be met.

These provide valuable insight into an individual’s behaviours, beliefs and attitudes which can play an important role in the vetting process. By ensuring that there is a good cultural fit with shared values that match the requirements of your organisation, you can avoid the risks of a bad hire and brand reputational damage.
